The Financial Analyst is responsible for the analysis and reporting of regulatory data, subscriber statistics, and financial reporting information for Bruce Telecom.

Reports to:  Finance Manager


1.    Prepare all month end financial statements and statistical reporting.
2.    Prepare regulatory reporting.
3.    Prepare monthly variance analysis and detailed account analysis.
4.    Reconcile key general ledger accounts to facilitate internal control framework.
5.    Prepare monthly bank and account reconciliations.
6.    Participate in the annual budgeting process.
7.    Evaluate, create and maintain product and service charge codes.
8.    Provide back-up support for other positions in the Finance Team.
9.    Complete other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Minimum Educational Requirements:
Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting

Required Skills and Experience:
3 years of experience working in a finance department
Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
Proficiency with Excel formulas and functions
Familiarity with database structure and queries
Strong analytical skills and decision-making ability
Ability to set and manage priorities
Ability to work independently
Detail oriented
Ability to work in a team environment
Well-developed customer service skills

Hours of Work:
35 Hours per Week

The Construction & Capital Projects Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the outside plant cable network and cabling projects.  This role will oversee construction activities ensuring projects are executed safely while meeting scheduling and budgetary requirements.

Reports to:  CEO


  1. Align construction department planning to meet key business initiatives
  2. Maintain project schedules and keep project resources (people, finances) on track
  3. Report project metrics, progress, budget and quality to stakeholders
  4. Manage and maintain current and accurate records on contractors and project
  5. Maintain contact with internal and external resources to monitor job progress
  6. Manage and set performance expectations with staff responsible for the building and maintaining of outside plant infrastructure
  7. Contribute to continuous improvement of business processes, systems, policies and services
  8. Provide expertise and recommendations when faced with challenges or barriers to projects
  9. Identify, report and mitigate business risks
  10. Complete other duties as assigned

Minimum Academic/Educational Requirements:

Post-Secondary education in Telecommunications or Management
A combination of education and relevant work experience will also be considered

Required Qualifications/Skills and Experience:

5+ Years in an Operational Role
5+ years in a Leadership Role
Experience working in telecom infrastructure project
Strong knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation                                             
Strong leadership and accountability skills  
Effective organizational and communication skills                                                            
Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships                                       
Financial acumen                                                                                                                       
Ability to work in a fast paced environment                                                                          
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges                                                                  
Exceptional time management to prioritize activities and allocate resources effectively  
Valid Ontario Driver's License

Hours of Work:

40 Hours per Week
