The telephone system will check the line you called for 30 minutes. When that line is free, your phone will ring a special ring. If you answer it, it will then ring through to the number you wished to call.

To Deactivate Automatic Redial:
Dial *86.
Automatic Callback returns calls to the last number that called you, whether or not you answered the phone. You will hear the number of the last incoming call prior to deciding whether or not to recall that number.

To Activate Automatic Callback:
Dial *69.
If the line is:
Not busy, listen for normal ringing Busy, listen for announcement, hang-up. When the line clears, your phone will ring. When you pick up the receiver, the number will automatically be connected.

To Deactivate Automatic Callback:
Dial *89.
If you hear a recorded announcement that the call cannot be completed or a "fast busy" signal, it is because the number you are trying to call back is not in your serving area or may be a cellular phone number.
You may place and receive calls while Automatic Call Back and Automatic Recall are trying to reach a busy number.
Automatic Call Back and Automatic Recall are capable of monitoring more than one busy phone number at a time. Your phone will signal you with a special ring when one of these numbers becomes available. You will not be able to tell which of the numbers it is. If you wish, you may cancel the feature by using the deactivation code; this cancels all the numbers being monitored.
If you use Automatic Call Back or Automatic Recall for a long distance number, you will be billed for a long distance call.
