Setup:
To Activate Call Forwarding:
Lift handset and listen for dial tone Press *72.
When you hear a second dial tone, dial the number where you want to forward your calls.
Press #.
When the called party answers, Call Forwarding is active.
If you receive a busy signal or no answer hang up and repeat the procedure within two minutes. You will hear two short tones to verify that you have activated Call Forwarding.
To Cancel Call Forwarding:
Lift handset and listen for dial tone Press *73.
Two short tones indicate that you have cancelled Call Forwarding.
Highlights:
You can still make outgoing calls when Call Forwarding is active.
A short tone followed by dial tone indicates Call Forwarding is active. You will hear one short ring each time a call forwards to remind you that Call Forwarding is active.
If you forward your calls to a long distance number, you will incur the long distance charge.
Call Forwarding Remote - Activation/Deactivation
BRUCE TELECOM subscribers may turn their Call Forwarding feature "on" or "off" from any touchtone telephone. It is not necessary to return to your home or office to forward your calls to another number or to turn your Call Forwarding feature "on" or "off".
To Use Call Forwarding Activation/Deactivation:
Dial the local BRUCE TELECOM access number corresponding to your calling area:
519 368-0388 - Tiverton
519 396-0388 - Kincardine
519 832-0388 - Port Elgin
519 353-0388 - Paisley
519 483-0388 - Southampton
519 470-0388 - Owen Sound
It will ring twice. You will then hear a special dial tone.
Dial your own 10-digit home or office telephone number then # and your 4 digit PIN number. A PIN number will be assigned to you by BRUCE TELECOM when you first subscribe to this service. You will hear a special dial tone again.
Then:
To Activate Remote Call Forwarding:
Dial *72. You will hear a special dial tone.
Dial the local or long distance telephone number to which you're sending your calls.
If you send your calls to a long distance telephone number, you will be charged the direct dial rate for every call you receive there.
To Deactivate Remote Call Forwarding:
Dial *73.
You will hear 2 beeps to indicate your calls will no longer be forwarded.
Call Forwarding - Selective
Allows you to have "selected" incoming calls forwarded to a designated Telephone Number.
To Activate Selective Call Forwarding:
Dial *68, follow recorded dialing instructions.
To Deactivate Selective Call Forwarding:
Dial *68, follow directions to deactivate or delete numbers.
Call Forwarding - Don't Answer
Lets you transfer incoming calls to another local or long distance number when your line is not answered.
To Activate Call Forwarding - Don't Answer:
Dial *92
When you hear a second dial tone, dial the number where you want to forward your calls
When the called party answers, Call Forwarding - Don't Answer is active
If you receive a busy signal or no answer hang up and repeat the procedure within 2 minutes - you will hear two short tones to verify that your have activated Call Forwarding - Don't Answer.
To Deactivate Call Forwarding - Don't Answer:
Dial *93
Two short tones indicate that you have cancelled Call Forwarding - Don't Answer
Call Forwarding - Busy
Lets you transfer incoming calls to another local or long distance number when your line is busy.
To Activate Call Forwarding - Busy:
Dial *90
When you hear a second dial tone, dial the number where you want to forward your calls
When the called party answers, Call Forwarding - Busy is active
If you receive a busy signal or no answer hang up and repeat the procedure within two minutes. You will hear two short tones to verify that you have activated Call Forwarding - Busy.
To Deactivate Call Forwarding - Busy:
Dial *91
Two short tones indicate that you have cancelled Call Forwarding- Busy.
