CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

Purchasing Coordinator – 16 Month Contract

Basic Function:
The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for the sourcing and acquisition of equipment, tools, supplies, inventory and services as needed for Bruce Telecom. 

Reports to: Finance Manager

Responsibilities:
1. Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
2. Source, negotiate and evaluate orders and quotations.
3. Verify and sign-off completed work reports.
4. Involvement in project planning procedures.
5. Resolve issues related to undelivered goods, errors, partial or duplicate shipments, pricing and substitution of products.
6. Work closely with storeroom to ensure best practices on inventory control.
7. Coordinate and prepare tendering documents (RFP, RFQ, RFI, and RFT), compile data and make recommendations.
8. Evaluate just in time buying practices.
9. Generate cost saving reports and evaluate under/over budget projects.
10. Responsible for signoff of customs, freight, courier and postage invoices while ensuring all charges are correct.
11. Facilitate the project and vendor management processes.
12. Collect internal and external inquires for product purchase.
13. Participate in the annual physical inventory count.
14. Maintain and control purchasing records and respond to auditor’s inquiries.
15. Train new employees on the procurement process

Other:
16. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
17. Provide back-up and support during absences for the Materials and Inventory Control positions.

Minimum Education Requirements:
 

  • Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration required
  • Applicants currently working towards a diploma in Business Administration may also be considered

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3-5 years experience in procurement and inventory control
  • Knowledge of customs regulations
  • Ability to work independently
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • Possess good decision making skills
  • Ability to set and manage priorities
  • Strong analytical and research abilities
  • Well developed communication skills
  • Strong computer skills

35 Hours per Week

Customer Care Representatives – Part Time (Temporary)

This role is a front line customer interface role with responsibilities servicing and selling to customers face to face in our retail stores, or over the phone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a high quality customer experience by delivering exceptional customer service to new and existing customers
  • Promote and sell Bruce Telecom and Bruce Mobility products and services
  • Work effectively to resolve billing and service complaints on first contact
  • Initiate service orders with a high degree of accuracy and coordinate with internal customers
  • Take accountability to solve issues from beginning to end
  • Work effectively to meet established performance targets

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Grade 12 Diploma
  • Preference given to College or Diploma in Business, Administration or equivalent experience

Qualifications & Skills

  • Must have exceptional customer relationship skills
  • Possess strong conflict management skills
  • Proven ability to work in and be part of a team
  • Must be able to multi-task effectively
  • Basic math skills/experience working with charts & statistics
  • Must have strong keyboarding and internet navigation skills
  • Must be comfortable with learning and using new technology

Customer Support Technician – Part Time

This is a customer interface role focused on providing technical support for Internet, Digital TV and Bruce Mobility to customers over the phone or on-site. This role will tackle support issues relating to configuration, hardware and software troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a high quality customer experience by delivering exceptional service and troubleshooting to new and existing customers
  • Promote Bruce Telecom and Bruce Mobility products and services
  • Take accountability to solve issues from beginning to end
  • Develop and maintain technical Tips and procedures for departmental use as required
  • Work effectively to meet established performance targets

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Grade 12 Diploma
  • Preference given to College Diploma in Computer Technology or equivalent experience

Qualifications & Skills

  • Must have exceptional customer relationship skills
  • Effective troubleshooting ability
  • Possess strong conflict management skills
  • Proven ability to work in and be part of a team
  • Must be able to multi-task effectively
  • Must have strong keyboarding and internet navigation skills
